The MAM72-100H is the largest 5 axis machine (in terms of capacity and size) currently manufactured by Matsuura and is the largest machine currently in our factory.
Upon receipt of the machine, in 2021, we were one of only four companies in the UK to boast one of these 5-axis platforms.
Being leaders in the UK market for motorsport transmission manufacturing, it was a natural investment for SXL. Due to a growing order book, we needed to bolster our machining centres to strengthen our large-scale capacity. We needed a machine that offered high precision, simultaneous production – we haven’t been disappointed!
With its ultra-robust DD motor, the MAM72-100H simultaneously achieves high-precision positioning and high-speed rotation, which helps to keep machining times to a minimum. Less machining time helps us to offer short lead times and maintain our competitive pricing.
